During the event, held at the JR Baseball Academy sports complex in the community of La Tumba (municipality of Guayacanes), more than 350 trees of different native species were planted, including Uva de playa, Mara, Cedar and Caoba criolla.

These events are part of our integral commitment to the environment, which is also reflected in the large solar energy projects we are developing in the country. Through initiatives such as the La Victoria, Mata de Palma I, II and III, El Soco and Lucila solar parks, as well as the new project under construction, Levitals, in the province of Azua, we are promoting a growth model that combines the generation of clean energy with the restoration of ecosystems.

Reforesting to create new green lungs 

The aim of this plantation is to favour the recovery of vegetation in a sparsely wooded area and to contribute to the protection of the micro-watersheds of the Brujuelas River, which are fundamental for the environmental balance of the region.

The species selected were chosen for their ability to adapt to the environment and their key role in soil conservation and local biodiversity.

An initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment

The event took place together with the Provincial Directorate of the Environment of San Pedro de Macorís, headed by its director Juan Bautista and the head of reforestation, engineer Bienvenido de los Santos, who accompanied the DOMINION team throughout the activity.

In addition to the planting, educational talks on the importance of reforestation and care for the environment were given. These sessions focused on the importance of protecting ecosystems, conserving water resources and promoting a responsible environmental culture.
