The new facility will have the capacity to process around 60,000 tonnes annually of non-ferrous metal shreds from obsolete electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), which have already been pre-processed by authorized agents, enabling the recovery of critical raw materials such as copper, nickel, platinum or palladium.
In this context, we are involved in the implementation of industrial solutions for the plant’s thermal processes, helping to optimize the energy efficiency of operations related to the treatment and recovery of electronic waste.
The project represents an important step toward promoting the circular economy, strengthening Europe’s strategic autonomy in critical raw materials, and advancing more sustainable industrial models.
CirCular, also declared a strategic interest project by the Regional Government of Andalucía, will help position Huelva as a European benchmark in advanced recycling and critical materials recovery.
