The winning projects of this edition represent two complementary approaches to innovation: the intelligent optimization of corporate processes through artificial intelligence and the operational improvement of field activities through advanced digital solutions.
Applied innovation to transform processes and operations
The winning project in the Innovation Awards category was “Corporate Optimization with AI: Secure and Standardized Processes”, developed by Juan Luis Salazar (SECO - Mexico).
The proposal uses specialized artificial intelligence agents to automate and standardize the creation of processes, corporate policies and risk analysis, improving traceability, reducing time and strengthening information security.
The initiative enables the creation of structured documentation under homogeneous corporate standards, optimizing tasks that previously required many hours of manual work and significantly increasing operational efficiency.
In addition to its immediate impact on productivity and quality, the project stands out for its scalability and adaptability across different areas and geographies of the company.
Meanwhile, the winning project in the Challenges & Ideas Competition category was DOMIA-SST360, developed by the team formed by Sandra Cabas, Alexander Solís and Álvaro Méndez (GDT - Energy Grid Services, Colombia).
The proposal introduces an AI-powered intelligent mobile inspection platform capable of transforming any mobile device into an advanced field analysis and prevention tool.
The solution aims to reduce subjectivity in inspections, improve operational traceability and facilitate early risk detection through camera analysis, automatic information validation and real-time intelligent reporting.
DOMIA-SST360 represents a step towards more preventive, connected and efficient inspection models, aligned with DOMINION’s vision of promoting a safer and more technologically advanced industry.
Finally, this year an extraordinary recognition was awarded to one of the innovations already implemented within the company, recognized for its outstanding alignment with DOMINION’s strategy: an intelligent document management solution that automates the classification and retrieval of internal files, reducing access times to critical information and generating significant operational savings, presented by Julián Ruiz from the Colombia team.
