BQUO has opened applications for its fourth edition with an important new development: the addition of KATEGORA. Created and originally launched by DOMINION, the initiative is evolving into an open innovation platform that connects companies, talent and entrepreneurship.
Applications will remain open until 26 October. The call is aimed at both entrepreneurs with an existing project and talented professionals with the potential to develop and lead solutions linked to the strategic challenges of the participating companies.
What is BQUO?
BQUO is an open innovation platform that enables companies to connect with entrepreneurial talent, explore new solutions and turn real business challenges into projects with growth potential.
DOMINION created and launched BQUO in 2023. After three editions, the initiative is taking another step forward with the addition of KATEGORA, a Basque real estate developer specialising in the living sector.
The platform provides a shared methodology, identity and philosophy. Within this common framework, each company develops its own BQUO programme according to its challenges, needs and strategic objectives.
How does the fourth edition of BQUO work?
Applicants can apply to DOMINION, KATEGORA or both companies. Each organisation will independently assess and select the profiles best suited to its programme.
The six-month programme will combine:
- Personalised training.
- Direct mentoring from professionals and senior executives.
- Access to corporate resources and expertise.
- Contact with clients, suppliers and real market challenges.
- Support in developing and validating each proposal.
- Shared sessions and events with the wider BQUO community.
Each participant will therefore have a specific experience within the company that selects them while also becoming part of the wider BQUO community.
The conditions and resources offered may differ between the DOMINION and KATEGORA programmes. Applicants should therefore review the details of each programme before deciding whether to apply to one company or both.

An open innovation platform with international reach
BQUO has grown consistently since its launch. The programme went from 64 applications in its first edition to more than 230 in its third, with proposals from over a dozen countries, including Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
Throughout its previous editions, participants have worked on projects related to the circular economy, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, digitalisation and industrial sustainability.
This growth demonstrates BQUO’s ability to attract national and international talent and connect it with companies, specialist expertise and real development opportunities from the Basque Country.
A new stage for BQUO
The addition of KATEGORA consolidates BQUO’s evolution from a programme launched by DOMINION into a platform open to the participation of different companies.
This new model broadens BQUO’s areas of activity, creates more opportunities for participants and helps build a more diverse business and entrepreneurial community.
